Miesha Theresa Tate, born on 18th August, 1986, is an American mixed martial artist. She is a participant in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and is a former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was previously an Strikeforce female bantamweight champion. Tate was vice president for ONE Championship. She is currently ranked in the top 10 in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings, as at October 3, 2022.



 



 Early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and husband Robert Schmidt. She was a tomboy in her early years and often played on playgrounds with boys.
